New Lift at Powder Mountain
I spent many good snow days at Powder Mountain wishing for one of these. It looks like those miserable rides back out of Hidden Lake will be a bit more comfortable this year on the new detachable quad. Now if we could only get one of these up James Peak….

It's about time, and good for powder mountain. although I will continue to make my runs at Snowbasin. Thanks for the update
I agree - Snowbasin is where i hope to spend most of my limited ski budget there- but it seems like I'm always spending at least 1 or 2 days at powder mountain, and this should make things a bit nicer. Almost wonder why they didn't use all that money to send something up James or lighting ridge? on in some new area?
It's only a 15 minute hike to James Peak from Lightning Ridge. If they installed a lift it would ruin all that makes James Peak worthwhile. Time spent on the Utah Stair Master is good for you. The Hidden Lake lift desperately needed to be replaced. Putting new lifts all over the place (Baldy, Cobabe Canyon, Lightning Ridge, etc) would destroy part of Powder Mountain's charm and is not necessary as most terrain is easily accessible if you are familiar with the area.
