Kayak Season is Here
If you haven’t noticed, the 2006 kayak season is well underway. With plenty of snow in the mountains, we should be getting a good share of high volume run-off and lots of fun on the local rivers. The Utah Whitewater Club’s website is full of activity if you are intersted in getting more information about the local kayak scene.
Play Park BBQ on April 29th
A couple events to kick off the season include the Utah Whitewater Club’s Play Park BBQ. This will be on Saturday, April 29th, and will be located in one of the Ogden Area’s Kayak Parks (most likely the Riverdale Park). Reports indicate that the Riverdale wave is going strong, and offers one of the best wave features in the state (not to mention it is super easy to access).

Some great photos were posted of some kayaking on the Scrambled Eggs Section of the Weber River. The section was flowing at over 2,000 CFS! Great shots, showing one of Ogden’s great whitewater features.
